Asian & Irish Community Connect
Brand Identity

As the brand designer for Asian & Irish Community Connect, I developed a visual identity that fosters an inclusive space for cultural connection and representation. My mission was to create a brand that unites communities through shared identity, cultural pride, and mutual support.

The Asian diaspora in Ireland carries a rich history spanning over 120 years, shaped by colonial pasts and evolving migration patterns. Today, this community represents more than 40 different Asian countries, making it the most diverse demographic in Ireland. This vibrant tapestry includes a vast array of languages, religions, ethnicities, arts, and culinary practices. As a designer, my challenge was to honour this immense diversity within a single emblem that authentically represents both Asian and Irish identities.

I met this challenge by creating the "Shared Bloom" icon—a fusion of the Irish shamrock and the Asian eight-petalled lotus. This symbol reflects a living history of belonging, where different roots meet to form a shared future without losing their original heritage.
